Traffic to be diverted for 5 hours from 5am on Sun

Noida: The traffic police have planned diversions for five hours on Sunday for the HCL Cyclothon. The restrictions will be in place from 5am to 10am and will cover the main road from Sector 18 to Sector 61, including the Noida elevated road.
The cyclists will follow a 14km route, starting from the road next to the DLF Mall of India till UFLEX in Sector 61 through the elevated road. The riders will then be required to come back to conclude their race at the road outside DLF Mall.
Noida traffic inspector Ashutosh Singh said, “The cyclothon route will be barricaded and police teams will be deployed at different locations. Traffic from DND Flyway and Film City road to the elevated road will be diverted to Sector 37. Vehicles coming from Greater Noida to Noida will also be diverted to Sector 37. Maharaja Agrasen Marg, which runs parallel to the elevated road, will be operational for general traffic.”
The traffic police have shared a helpline number – 9971009001 – for commuters.
“The total prize purse of this initiative is Rs 32 lakh. The programme is being held under the aegis of Cycling Federation of India and in support of the UP sports ministry. Around 1,156 participants from across age groups have registered with a majority coming from Delhi-NCR,” a statement on the cyclothon said.
