The West Indies won the toss and chose to bat first in the second ODI against South Africa in East London.

The Proteas, who will have to chase against the West Indies for the third consecutive time against the West Indies at this ground, will be without Reeza Hendricks, who lacerated his ring finger at the Proteas’ training session on Friday.

That meant the Proteas fielded four debutants for the game in Ryan Rickelton, Tony de Zorzi, Tristan Stubbs, and Gerald Coetzee.
