Maya Hawke rocks shorts and blazer while holding an adorable pup at North Shore Animal League America's Celebration Of Rescue in NYC

Every year, North Shore Animal League America holds its annual Celebration Of Rescue.

This year the event was held at the trendy downtown hot spot, TRIBECA 360°, which boasts plenty of pets in need of a forever home, as well as spectacular views of the Big Apple.

Actress Maya Hawke, 25, was among the celebrities and high-profile people to lend their support to the non-profit, while decked out in a stylish black shorts and blazer combination.

Rounding out her look, the daughter of Ethan Hawke and ex-wife Uma Thurman also donned a black and white-patterned top, sheer stockings, black leather shoes, while her blonde locks were styled long down her back and pushed over both ears.

The evening included delicious food and drinks, live entertainment, a silent auction and plenty of puppy love, along with lifesaving animal rescue journeys narrated by animal advocate personalities, according to the organization’s website.

Hawke’s most endearing accessory just happened to be the cute Chihuahua she carried in arms during a good portion of the event, which was captured on camera.

After striking an assortment of poses with the tiny pup in her arms, the New York City native also grabbed ahold of another puppy who’s in need of a family offering a forever home.

The Stranger Things star would also showcase the adorable pooch alongside longtime animal advocate Beth Stern, who’s the wife of legendary radio star Howard Stern.

The actress and model (born Beth Ostrosky), 51, stunned in a red-patterned, spaghetti-strap dress that she matched with a pair of gold pumps.

She also held up a cut dog while posing for photographers with her blonde locks flowing down her right shoulder styled with a part on the right.

Stern has donated a lot of her time as a volunteer and animal right activist, while maintaining dedicated ‘foster rooms’ in all three of her residences for cats and kittens in need of permanent homes, a project she began in 2013.

That same year, she launched a personal Instagram account, and soon after began using it predominantly to facilitate animal adoptions.

Television personality and animal advocate Brian Balthazar served as the host of the Celebration Of Rescue event.
