Kyle Sandilands took a brutal swipe at fellow radio rival Ben Fordham on Thursday morning after the KIIS FM show took the win for this year’s radio ratings.
The radio shock jock, 52, boasted the Kyle and Jackie O Show’s ratings win, who have now been the number one breakfast show overall ahead of Fordham’s 2GB show five out of seven times in the 2023 surveys.
The duo continue as the country’s most listened to show, with KIIS 1065 also now Australia’s most listened to station.
Sandilands did not hold back making a savage comment towards host Fordham, who kept his spot in second by the thinnest of margins – recording a share of 16.2 per cent to Kyle and Jackie O’s 16.3 per cent.Â
‘If you want to know what happened to Ben Fordham, he is underneath us,’ he said during the show on Thursday.
‘It’s like having sex with someone and they die. That’s Ben. Ben is the dead person.’
Sandilands gave a shoutout to his staff and crew for their incredibly hard work this year.
‘Once again, to our own staff, I’ve got to thank you all. We retain the number one overall position as the largest greatest most listened to radio show in the history of Australian radio,’ he announced.
As his colleagues cheered and applauded from the studio, Sandilands continued: ‘Calm down now. So the biggest most listened to show ever in the entire history of radio, we are that.Â
