The hotly-anticipated event was the chef’s first outing since becoming a dad for the sixth time after his wife Tana, 49, gave birth to a son, Jesse James.
The restaurateur, 57, and Holly, 23, smiled for photos in the Red Bull Racing garage during qualifying.
Gordon opted for a casual figure as he sported a white T-shirt and a marl cardigan, while Holly wore a black scoop neck top with a blazer.
Celebrities have flocked on masse to watch the inaugural event – as drivers race to the backdrop of several Vegas landmarks, including the Bellagio fountains, Mandalay Bay, Caesars Palace, and the new ball-shaped MSG Sphere.

The Grand Prix has been packed with entertainment as Kylie Minogue took to the stage during the opening ceremony on Thursday as the headline act.
The casinos and clubs have packages catered for fans looking for something to do while waiting for the cars to hit the track late each night, including Kylie’s show.
Las Vegas Grand Prix events are scheduled for November 16 through 18, with the race itself happening on Saturday night.
The last time the city had hosted an F1 race had been in 1982 when it was home to the Caesars Palace Grand Prix.

The couple, who married in 1996, kept Tana’s latest pregnancy a secret.
However, back in September, Gordon admitted he was under pressure from Tana to have a sixth child but said he was against the idea.
Speaking to Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett on the Dish podcast, Gordon confessed: ‘I’ve got a little secret… Tana wants another one.’
But he admitted that he is reluctant to have another baby, saying the family would need ‘two buses’ and that he would be older than the other parents at school.
He said: ‘It’s like going to school, going out for dinner in two buses. And secondly, I’m going to be the oldest f***er at school. ‘Who’s your grandad?’
‘And what about sports day? The egg and spoon race. What am I going to do? So, I’d love another one, but no.’
Family: The couple are already parents to (L-R) Megan, 24, Tilly, 21, and twins Jack and Holly, 23 (pictured here in 2016) and Oscar, four
Gordon also spoke about how his youngest child, Oscar, is quickly following in his father’s footsteps after complaining about the food at his school during his first week.
He said: ‘He didn’t want to wear his blazer. He said, ‘Dad, it’s too f***ing itchy.’ And he said, ‘the food’s s***’.
‘I said, son, BYO. He said, “What does that mean?’ I said, “Bring your f***ing own.” So he’s got his own lunchbox, it’s all prepped, he’s got his finger sandwiches.’
Despite originally being unwilling to grow his brood, Gordon admitted that his fathering skills have improved with each child.
He explained: ‘Everything you did wrong first time round, you do so much better.
‘[Oscar’s] growing up at such a rate of knots. He’s like a little adult at four because he’s got four big siblings that he answers to.’
Gordon admitted during the Coronavirus pandemic that Tana was keen to expand their family, wanting to use the opportunity of lockdown to start trying.
Speaking to Jimmy Fallon, he said: ‘Literally two hours ago our prime minister has announced we are in lockdown now until the frigging 15th of February.
‘So [Tana] said we have good news. You are up late talking to Jimmy. Tomorrow night we go for number six!’
Tana admitted to wanting more kids in 2021, telling Hello! magazine: ‘Do you know, the problem is that I so love babies but I think I’ll still be saying that when I’m in my 70s!’
However, she added: ‘I don’t think there’s ever a time when I’ll go, “Oh my god never, ever, ever again.”
‘But let’s just say I count my blessings and think I’m incredibly lucky.’
