Britney Spears shares recollection on past hostile encounter with law enforcement … months after she's pulled over multiple times over road infractions

Britney Spears on Monday evening took to Instagram with a vintage shot alongside one of her sons, accompanying it with a caption in which she seemingly described a hostile encounter with law enforcement.

The Grammy-winning singer, 41, who is mother to sons Sean, 18, and Jayden, 17, with ex-husband Kevin Federline, 45, shared a grainy retro image in which she was holding one of her sons, who had a pumpkin in his hand.

The photo was snapped at a pumpkin patch in Los Angeles in October of 2008 – the year her former conservatorship ran by her father Jamie Spears began.

The Oops!… I Did It Again vocalist captioned the post: ‘He says “Mamma !!! Is that you !?? Are you gonna let a cop pull you over and talk s*** to you ????”‘

She added, ‘”Is it even allowed to demoralize and talk shit to a woman while taping you, mamma ???” I’m honestly like America … I DON’T KNOW YALL !!!’

It was not immediately clear if Spears was speaking about a recent incident or one farther back in her past, as her narrative and the adjacent image indicated her son was much younger at the time.

Spears has had a pair of documented communications with police officers in recent months, as she was pulled over on September 10 and October 6 by her Southern California home, receiving tickets on both occasions.

Neither of those communications with police appeared to be argumentative, and neither of her sons were not were present on either occasion.

Spears was seen in police bodycam footage obtained by TMZ after an officer with the California Highway Patrol pulled her over October 6 by her home in Thousand Oaks, California.

Spears told the officer she badly needed to use the restroom, after the officer told her he observed her crossing over double lines.

Spears told the officer – the same one who had previously pulled her over September 10 for an alleged speed violation – that she urgently needed to relieve herself as she was headed to her home.

‘I’m so sorry, I have to use the bathroom … it’s about to come out right now,’ she told the officer. ‘Sorry, my house is right there.’

Asked for her license and registration, Spears that her security team had her passport and license after she’d come back from a trip.

The CHP officer told Spears that he was not trying to pull her over intentionally, but was looking for motorists who were speeding or passing over double yellow lines.

The officer issued the Toxic artist a citation for passing over the double yellow lines and advised her she was free to go and to drive safely. Spears received a $327 fine, due by November 21, according to TMZ

In California, it is illegal to cross solid double yellow lines on the road, unless you are turning left at an intersection, turning into/our of a private road or driveway, driving in a carpool lame, or instructed to do so by construction workers.

The violation occurred after Spears was ‘pulled over and ticketed’ for driving without a license or proof of insurance in her car by CHP September 10, just a month after her estranged husband Sam Asghari, 29, filed for divorce, according to court documents obtained by The Blast.

In that exchange, which TMZ posted bodycam footage of, the CHP officer told the pop star that she had been clocked driving 61 mph, 21 miles an hour over the 40 mph speed limit.

The star was initially pulled over for speeding in her white Mercedes, and law enforcement claim that she did not have a ‘valid license in her possession’ and failed ‘to provide a peace officer evidence of financial responsibility.’

‘I’m sorry, I’m so so sorry, please forgive me,’ the Womanizer songstress told the officer, who remarked that he had past stopped the singer for speeding and ‘gave [her] a break last time.’

Spears was unable to produce her driver’s license, registration or proof of insurance for the vehicle, citing that she had just returned from overseas and it had been in the possession of her security staff.

The violations garnered the entertainer a fine of $1,140, which online records show she has since paid off, according to the publication.

Spears was caught driving at an ‘unsafe speed for prevailing conditions’ and ticketed for the offense on March 10, 2022.

The citation came months after Spears was advised by doctors to be careful behind the wheel as she reentered the world from a conservatorship which prevented her from driving for 13 years.

A source told People in July of 2021: ‘Britney is very happy the conservatorship is now allowing her to drive. She is ecstatic and beyond grateful for all the help she is receiving right now.’

In years past, Spears has had incidents in which she struggled while on the road.

In 2006, prior to her conservatorship, she caused controversy when photographed driving with then-five-month-old son Sean Preston in her lap.

After the incident, she apologized, reportedly telling Access Hollywood: ‘I made a mistake and so it is what it is, I guess.’

The next year, Spears was captured running over the toes of a paparazzi in Beverly Hills, according to MTV.

Around the same time in 2007, cameras caught her committing a number of traffic offenses, including running red lights, driving while using her phone and making illegal turns.

That same year ex-husband Kevin Federline also asked a judge to block Spears from driving their two sons Jayden and Sean, now 17 and 18.

Spears has been in the headlines as of late amid the October release of her memoir, The Woman In Me.

The book is packed with a series of bombshell revelations reflecting on a life in the spotlight full of ups and downs.

The memoir charts her popstar career and the many trials and tribulations of her personal life.

The star delves into her romantic relationships, failed marriages, mental health battles and that conservatorship.

Among some of the explosive revelations that have been shared ahead of the release, is that she had an abortion at age 19 after getting pregnant with then-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.

She also shared she was devastated after Timberlake, 42, broke up with her through a text message.

The megastar – who finally admitted to cheating with choreographer Wade Robson – wrote about the end of her relationship with the singer and how the split affected her.

She also reveals why she shaved her head during infamous 2007 meltdown, why her 13-year conservatorship made her feel like a ‘child robot’, and how she gave up her ‘freedom’ so she could see her sons during her conservatorship.
