The Communist Celebration of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] and the Kerala authorities are following the insurance policies of right-wing regimes elsewhere, Chief of the Opposition V.D. Satheesan has stated.

Talking at a public assembly organised in reference to the celebration congress of the Communist Marxist Celebration (CMP), Mr. Satheesan stated the CPI(M), which refused to reply to the six allegations of corruption, was nose-diving to political ignominy. The celebration, which was fearful of the Central investigation companies, was afraid of organising protests towards the Union authorities, he alleged.

CMP chief C. P. John presided. Celebration employees took out a march as a part of the convention. The delegate session will start at City Corridor at 11 a.m. on January 29. A seminar on whether or not India would develop into a theocratic state will probably be held at 11 a.m. on January 30.
